Our Services

At Peaceful Kneads in Sequim, WA, we’re committed to excellence. Every therapist regularly continues their training to ensure you receive the highest level of care.

Deep Rest Hot Stone Massage

This session (hot stones optional) is designed to deliver profound relaxation by combining the therapeutic benefits of heated stones with soothing massage techniques. The warmth from the stones helps to ease muscle tension, allowing for deeper muscle relaxation without the need for excessive pressure (though we're happy to adjust lighter/deeper to your preference).

This massage is particularly effective in calming the nervous system, reducing stress, and promoting better sleep. Studies have shown that regular massage can lower cortisol levels, decrease heart rate, and boost serotonin levels, all of which contribute to an enhanced state of relaxation and overall well-being. Experience the calming effects of this treatment and leave feeling deeply rested and rejuvenated.

Deep Tissue Massage

Our Deep Tissue Massage is designed to go beyond the surface, targeting deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, making it ideal for addressing chronic pain, tension, and specific problem
areas. This massage focuses on breaking down adhesions and releasing deep-seated muscle tension.

For enhanced effectiveness, hot stones can be strategically incorporated into the session, allowing for targeted heat application to loosen tight muscles before deeper pressure is applied. This combination helps improve mobility, reduce pain, and promote long-lasting relief.

Whether you're dealing with postural issues, overuse injuries, or persistent discomfort, this treatment offers a powerful solution to help you feel your best.

A Focused Treatment Massage is tailored to address specific areas of concern by targeting the source of your discomfort with techniques designed to relieve pain, improve function, and support recovery.

Whether you're dealing with pain, discomfort, or tension in particular muscles or joints, recovering from an injury or surgery, experiencing the effects of repetitive strain, or simply seeking relief from chronic discomfort, this massage is customized to meet your unique needs. By concentrating on the affected areas, we work to alleviate pain, improve mobility, reduce inflammation, and promote overall wellness. Each session is designed to restore your body’s natural balance and support your path to recovery.

Discover a tailored approach to physical health with Orthopedic Massage — a specialized therapy focused on addressing musculoskeletal issues to promote optimal functionality. Courtney employs precise techniques to target specific areas of concern, offering you a pathway to relief and revitalization. This treatment combines skilled massage with advanced techniques including structural realignment, myofascial release, joint mobilization, MET, Strain/Counterstrain, skeletal adjustments and more to effectively treat a range of conditions. Whether you're managing chronic pain, recovering from an injury, pre/post-surgery, dealing with sports injuries, sciatica, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, or postural imbalances, this massage treatment is completely based on your assessment and goals.

During your first appointment, Courtney will conduct a detailed assessment to better understand your unique situation. Throughout all sessions, she remains highly communicative; explaining what she’s finding, what techniques she’s using, and why they are important. A key focus of this treatment is to educate you about what’s happening in your body and provide guidance on steps you can take to improve your condition.

Courtney works with the body in tissue layers, carefully adjusting pressure and intensity based on your individual needs and the specific issue at hand. She doesn’t subscribe to the ‘no pain, no gain’ philosophy, instead preferring to work smarter, not harder and letting the body's ability to release tension dictate the depth of the work. This thoughtful approach ensures that each session is both effective and comfortable, helping to reduce pain, restore range of motion, improve structural alignment, and enhance overall function; promoting long-term recovery and optimal physical health.
